Skidmore Creative Services is the local web design and maintenance team
of Bud and Ann Skidmore on Edisto Island, SC.
We build web sites, assist
in creating content, and help
our clients maintain their sites with fresh, exciting
graphics, images and copy that reflect their message accurately.
We register domain names and provide hosting as an authorized
reseller for www.hostgator.com, one of the world's top ten largest hosting
companies. Working with Host Gator we provide individual control panels for
each site which gives web statistics, e mail accounts, subdomains, and
all the various services you expect from your hosting service. Host Gator
boosts a 99.9% uptime guarantee.

We also take custom photos and create videos for the web.
We maintain a large library of local photographs and footage of the island
which we
will continue to update over time. We also work with other local
photographers whose skills compliment our own.

No one captures the magic of the low country like artist Doug Grier, an Edisto resident. Doug
has painted scenes from Harbourtown, Charleston, Edisto and numerous other
low country locations. His work is varied ranging from gardens to creeks and marshes. Some
simply capture the play of light. All speak to the imagination. Not quite as well known
are his fabulous southwestern landscapes and scenics. We encourage you to visit
his site. This truly is a collaborative work between Ann and myself
which we hope reflects Doug's art in an effective way.

NOW UNDERWAY
We have just published the start of a web site for Walter Construction Company of Edisto Island.
This site will feature some of Edisto's premier homes - ocean front, ocean walk, in Wyndham Ocean
Ridge, in Middletons, on Bailey's Island, and across the island. While far from finished we
invite you to visit this site and watch as it progresses.

We are also now hosting the web for The Edisto Bookstore. This locally owned and run
shop is located in the small shopping center next to the Post Office at 547 Highway 174.
They feature
a wonderful selection of low country books, dvd's and charts along with great reading
for an afternoon on the beach.

We live and work on beautiful Edisto Island
and want to see it remain non commercial, rural, and appropriate gateway to the
internationally known ACE Basin. Edisto's slow paced lifestyle and gentle way of living
makes room for wildlife and very special people. We encourage you to visit
this new web to learn more.

Working equally hard to protect Edisto Beach is the Edisto Beach
Property Owners Association... and they've been at the job a lot longer.
On their site you can access the minutes of the Town Council, proposed ordinances,
Town meeting dates, and minutes of the Planning Commission. New information
is being added almost daily!

We don't do a lot of commercial business sites but we've really enjoyed working
with
our local pest control experts at Apex of Edisto. The low country of South
Carolina has, I think, every bug and pest known to man and it's good to know
there's help around if you need it.
We love this site for its easy navigation
and great links.
